I am very happy to welcome you on our homepage.
My name is Andrea Bauer-Bania and I live with my family and our animals near the beautiful Lake Constance.
Dogs accompany me for over 30 years, but we came to the sighthound only in 2013 by our beloved Deerhound male SHELDON.
Unfortunately, we were given only a much too short time with Sheldon. After a manageable time without a dog, PENNY came into our lives followed by CHESTER and SKYLAR.
Because of the proximity to our home racetrack in Bermatingen we came very quickly in contact with nice other sighthound people, who brought us besides the fantastic care by our breeders (thank you Karin and Jürgen :-)) quickly and sustainably the sport, exhibition and breeding closer.
Thus it was around us and we are to be met regularly in Germany and in the neighboring countries at the one or other exhibition, race or Coursing.
Our breeding started with first preparations in 2019 to create the best conditions in all calmness. In addition to the formal requirements such as cattery protection, breeder training, kennel inspection, we devoted ourselves since then but especially around the main actors, without which a breeding as it meets our requirements would not be possible: our dogs. With both breeding partners we observe their character, health and sporty disposition before we go with them into a breeding planning.
Because the goal of our kennel are healthy, people-oriented Whippets, which correspond to the elegant and high-legged type with a visible sporty overcast. Translated, this means that we would like to breed Whippets that can be described in terms of character and body like this:
Lovable and willing to perform, beautiful and athletic, and everything in moderation and without exaggeration.
What sounds like squaring the circle is a real challenge, but corresponds exactly to our ideal image of a Whippet: versatile, sporty and beautiful, who feels at home everywhere and cuts a fine figure: on the couch, in nature, in the city, at racing and coursing, in the show ring. A real all-rounder and not a specialist, just a multi-talent with beauty & performance.
